Pay Rate: £33,652.50 (plus additional night shift premium)

Grade: RCS L

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday, Night shift 10pm - 6am

Location: Doncaster - DN8 4HT

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Manage and oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse operational processes and staffing requirements through effective leadership, supporting the Site Manager in achieving site KPIs and cost budget objectives.
• Ensure all customer requirements are met and that operational performance meets company and customer expectations.
• Analyze and understand health and safety-related risks for colleagues, taking action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritised plan.
• Manage and run a safe operation, fostering a Safety First Culture among all individuals by applying and improving Safety Standards.
• Lead a continuous improvement culture in line with H&S guidelines, site procedures, and processes.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Proven experience in FMCG Warehouse Operations Management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Experience leading change management initiatives and driving continuous improvement processes.
• People management skills, including conducting performance reviews, health reviews, back-to-work assessments, and grievances.
