Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to take full operational responsibility for day-to-day activities during your shift at our Blyth site. You will lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve demanding targets and foster a positive culture that promotes engagement.

You will identify cost-saving opportunities, drive efficiency and ensure all processes align with Health & Safety policies, escalating risks when needed. Strong people skills and proven leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous FLM level experience in a large warehousing environment.
• Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise warehouse operations.
• Strong people management and development skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse on your shift (through FLM2s and Team Leaders)
• Lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve challenging targets
• Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all, to improve employee engagement
• Identify cost saving initiatives and implement corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse operation
• Strive to make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with Health & Safety policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating your findings

Qualifications

• Previous experience at a minimum of First Line Manager level, within a large, fast-paced warehousing environment
• Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
• Excellent people skills - the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
