Job summary

Vision Express in the United Kingdom is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to supervise the receipt, storage, picking, packing and shipping of orders, while coordinating warehouse staff, vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safety, compliance and efficient operation in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will uphold Health & Safety regulations, Data Protection, and ISO 13485:2016 + A11:2021 QMS, driving continuous improvement using LEAN and 5S.

Qualifications

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Data Protection requirements.
• Implement productivity, quality, and customer service KPIs.
• Oversee housekeeping using LEAN and 5S methodologies.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound operations for multi-channel platforms.
• Conduct inventory analysis and reporting, review cost reductions.
• Uphold warehouse Health and Safety requirements and SOPs.
• Support management in ISO 13485:2016 + A11:2021 QMS.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job expectations and conduct appraisals with warehouse Team Leaders.
• Foster effective communication within the team and hold briefings as needed.
• Mentor and coach employees to develop a flexible workforce while managing staff issues.
• Maintain payroll and holiday systems, promoting teamwork and continuity.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relations to address distribution issues.
