Job summary

GXO is seeking Warehouse Team Leaders to join our Selby site on a new contract. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll lead, coach and support a team to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality warehouse performance.

This is a full‑time, permanent role with 4 on 4 6am–6pm (Days) or 6pm–6am (Nights) shifts; your preference can be discussed at interview. Salary £35,283 per annum with nights allowance, plus 23 days leave and a benefits package including pension, private medical and more.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a warehouse or fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and people-leadership skills.
• Good working knowledge of warehouse processes and Health & Safety standards.
• Excellent WMS systems knowledge and stock handling experience would be an advantage.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational shift team by encouraging a team ethic to achieve daily KPI targets.
• Manage and monitor an effective warehouse operation ensuring SOP compliance is adhered to with all functions.
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
• Make sure all discrepancies are reported through the appropriate channels and maintain KPI records.
• Coaching and feedback on individual performance and ensure staff are trained to carry out duties to the required level.
