Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic shift manager to lead daily warehouse operations within our Operations team at a critical logistics site in the United Kingdom. You will guide a frontline team to ensure safety, quality, and service levels while optimizing productivity.

The role focuses on hands-on leadership, strategic staffing, and continuous improvement. A commitment to safety and efficiency will underpin all daily decisions and actions.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in shift management or supervision in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), workforce planning and KPI tracking.
• Proven leadership with coaching and employee engagement.
• Problem-solving abilities to resolve operational challenges under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations: Oversee daily warehouse processes to meet service levels.
• Develop operational teams: Coach, mentor, and build a high-performing, safety-focused workforce.
• Manage resources and performance: Plan staffing, track KPIs, and control shift costs.
• Maintain safety and compliance: Conduct inspections and enforce health, safety, and security protocols.
• Drive operational efficiency: Resolve bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
