Job summary

GXO in Bristol is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee a team in the warehouse supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Build. You will ensure items are received, prepared, and dispatched safely and compliantly, while leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding results.

This is a full-time permanent position with Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 06:00 and 18:00, with some flexibility required.

• Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Flexibility and adaptability to support different operational areas and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of operatives across the Warehouse
• Ensure accurate receipt, preparation, and dispatch of items for the HPC build
• Monitor quality checks and compliance standards for safe storage and transport
• Manage workflow and priorities to meet operational targets and deadlines
• Act as the first point of contact for your team, providing guidance and resolving issues quickly
