Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd is recruiting a Warehouse Quality Operative for a long-term temporary position in a busy incoming goods team. You will check components and packaging materials against approved specifications before acceptance for use.

This role suits a junior candidate or college leaver with a keen eye for detail who wants to develop a career in quality inspection. Warehouse or manufacturing experience is nice to have but not essential.

Qualifications

• Junior candidate or college leaver with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing or quality roles is helpful but not essential.
• SAP experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming components and packaging materials against approved specifications.
• Identify and report defects or non-conforming materials.
• Decide whether materials should be accepted, rejected or referred for further advice.
• Release approved components and packaging materials on SAP.
• Take samples of incoming goods in line with sampling and testing standards.
• Maintain paper specification files, test procedures and work instructions.
• Keep component samples, packaging reference samples and artwork files up to date.
• Label rejected pallets in collaboration with the Warehouse Team.
• Support colleagues with quality-related issues at goods-in.
• Work with the Plant Quality Team to support continuous improvement.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents and near misses promptly.

Warehouse Quality Operative / Incoming Goods Inspector
Contract: Long-term temporary role
Hours: 39 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am-3:30pm
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day

We are recruiting a Warehouse Quality Operative for a long-term temporary position within a busy incoming goods team. Working in the warehouse, you will check components and packaging materials to ensure they meet approved quality specifications before being accepted for use.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate, recent graduate or college leaver with a keen eye for detail who would like to develop a career in quality inspection. Previous warehouse, manufacturing or quality experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming components and packaging materials against approved specifications

About you

• Methodical, accurate and attentive to detail
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Confident making decisions and escalating concerns when necessary
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A clear and confident communicator
• Computer literate
• SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspection, warehousing or manufacturing would be beneficial
• A good standard of general education
