Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd in Leeds is seeking an Incoming Goods Inspector to join the Quality Department. This full-time role involves a 39‑hour week, 07:30–15:45, with a 30‑minute lunch break. You will inspect components, interpret drawings, and report non-conformances to uphold quality.

You will use micrometers, calipers and gauge pins, maintain records, and contribute to improvements while collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
• Confident using dimensional measuring equipment.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated, organised and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming parts and assemblies for quality, dimensions, tolerances and workmanship.
• Use equipment including micrometers, calipers and gauge pins.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.
• Approve, reject and report non-conforming materials, including raising NCRs.
• Inspect and process regrind tool orders and quotations.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and logs.
• Operate laser etching equipment in line with company procedures.
• Support quality and process Improvements.
• Work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Pay Rate: £12.82 per hour

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours over 5 days

Working hours: 07:30-15:45 (30-minute unpaid lunch)
