Job summary

New Appointments Group is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for a temporary ~3 month position in Dover, UK. You will inspect incoming components against drawings, carry out visual and measurement-based inspections, and record non-conformances to support corrective actions.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing/engineering quality inspection, metrology knowledge, and CMM is desirable. ISO 9001/Lean/Six Sigma understanding, strong IT skills (Word/Excel), and SAP experience are

• Knowledge of measurement techniques and metrology; CMM experience desirable.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, Lean or Six Sigma principles.
• Good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel; SAP experience advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a wider team.

Temporary - Approximately 3 Months

£14.50 - £15.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming components and materials against drawings, specifications and purchase orders.
• Carry out visual and measurement-based inspections, including use of measurement equipment.
• Identify and record non-conforming products and support corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and assist with supplier quality issues.
• Work closely with Quality, Production, Purchasing and Engineering teams.
• Maintain a clean, organised working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques/metrology; CMM experience is desirable.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, Lean or Six Sigma principles.
• Good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel; SAP experience advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a wider team. Level 4 Quality Practitioner, NPL Metrology training or equivalent experience would be highly desirable.
