Job summary

Orion Electrotech welcomes a Quality Inspector to support a busy production environment in Reading. The role involves frontline quality checks on goods in, using measurement tools and following documented processes to meet standards.

You will communicate findings across the business, support ISO 9001/AS9100 practices, and contribute to continuous quality improvements. 3-6 month contract with a salary of £30-32k and standard office tools.

Qualifications

• Experienced Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with quality focus.
• Confident communicator with ability to build relationships.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel; familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Goods in inspection of mechanical and electrical components.
• Use inspection and measurement equipment (calipers, shadow graphs).

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with a background in manufacturing? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support quality standards across a busy production environment.

As a Quality Inspector, you will provide frontline quality support, helping to ensure Goods in are inspected and to standard.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector

• Goods in Inspection of mechanical and electrical components
• Using inspection and measurement equipment such as calipers, shadow graphs
• Following processes and ensuring incoming goods match documents
• Communicate quality, product, and safety-related information effectively across the business.

About You the Quality Inspector

• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable presenting information and responding to queries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 is beneficial.
