Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking a Warehouse / Packing Operative for a 18-month temporary contract at a Life Sciences manufacturing site in Church Stretton. The role involves hands-on picking, packing, goods-in and dispatch in a clean, well-organised environment where accuracy is essential.

You will be recording information accurately, following procedures, and supporting continuous improvement activities with the team. The position is a day-shift, on-site role with training provided.

Qualifications

• Physical, hands-on role (standing/walking) is required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.
• Confident communicating and recording information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch.
• Receiving deliveries and goods-in paperwork checks.
• Stock checks / inventory counts in storage locations.
• Preparing, dispensing and final packaging of products for distribution.
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Completing basic records for each task (paperwork / system entries).
• Working safely and following site EH&S and Quality procedures.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities and site projects with the team.

Warehouse / Packing Operative (Goods In & Dispatch) - Days

Church Stretton | £13.00 per hour | Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30 | 37.5 hours

18-month temporary contract | Full training provided

We're recruiting a Warehouse / Packing Operative to join a well-established Life Sciences manufacturing site in Church Stretton. This is a hands-on role in a clean, organised environment where accuracy matters and procedures are clearly followed.

What you'll be doing

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch
• Receiving deliveries (checking goods against paperwork and completing the goods-in process)
• Stock checks / inventory counts in storage locations
• Preparing, dispensing and final packaging of products for distribution
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
• Completing basic records for each task (paperwork / system entries)
• Working safely and following site EH&S and Quality procedures
• Supporting continuous improvement activities and site projects with the team

What we're looking for

Essential

• Comfortable in a physical, hands-on role (standing/walking through the day)
• Good attention to detail and able to follow work instructions
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team
• Confident communicating and recording information accurately

Desirable (not essential)

• Manufacturing, production, warehouse or laboratory experience
• SAP exposure
• ISO9001 / quality-controlled environment experience
• Forklift licence
