Job summary

Talented People Solutions is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based in Horley. You will receive, pick, pack and dispatch stock, using handheld scanners and warehouse systems to ensure accuracy.

The role offers a basic salary around £30,952 with a 15% shift allowance after 6:00pm, bringing total to approximately £32,992 per year. It is a full-time, permanent contract with evening hours and a 40-minute break.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's warehouse experience.
• Experience with picking, packing, goods-in or dispatch.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using scanners and warehouse systems.
• Able to meet targets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operative

Location: Horley

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 2:00pm–11:30pm
Break: 40 minutes

Talented People Solutions are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a warehouse team based in Horley.

The role involves receiving, picking, packing and dispatching stock accurately and safely.

The basic salary is £30,952 per annum, with a 15% shift allowance for hours worked after 6:00pm, bringing the annual salary to approximately £32,992.

Main Duties

• Receive and check deliveries.
• Check quantities, product codes and condition.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect items.
• Process customer returns.
• Book stock onto the warehouse system.
• Put stock away in the correct locations.
• Pick customer orders accurately.
• Pack orders safely and correctly.
• Prepare orders for dispatch and collection.
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse equipment.
• Handle heavy and awkward items safely.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.
• Follow Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
• Work with the wider warehouse team to resolve stock and order issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year's warehouse experience.
• Previous warehouse, Goods-In, picking or dispatch experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Comfortable using scanners or warehouse systems.
• Able to work to targets and deadlines.
• Good team player with a reliable attitude.
• Able to safely handle warehouse products.

Desirable

• Forklift licence.
• Experience with construction or industrial products.
