Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Warehouse Operative at Magna Park North, Lutterworth, to carry out receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods. The role involves loading/unloading, pallet movement, and use of voice picking systems in a busy warehouse.

You will work with the transport and operations teams to meet targets, perform stock checks, and ensure accurate packing and labeling for shipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Experience as a yard shunter or in vehicle movement role.
• A valid shunter qualification, HGV licence (where required), or relevant experience in moving trailers within a yard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
• Load and unload trailers and containers safely and efficiently.
• Move, stack and organise pallets to maximise storage capacity.
• Operate warehouse equipment where authorised and per site procedures.
• Perform stock counts and support inventory management.
• Use warehouse systems including voice picking technology where applicable.
• Ensure items are packed, labelled and prepared accurately for shipment.
• Shunt trailers, containers and vehicles around the yard following site procedures.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle and trailer safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Liaise with warehouse, transport and operations teams to position trailers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard environment.
• Comply with health and safety policies and site rules at all times.
• Work with colleagues to achieve targets and customer service standards.
