Job summary

Interaction Recruitment has a Corby-based client recruiting a Food Production Operative with Counterbalance. The role requires a current counterbalance FLT licence and offers a weekly pattern of 42 hours on a continental shift (12-hour days and nights). Immediate start is possible.

You will also need good IT skills (Microsoft Office, in-house stock systems), and the ability to lift loads up to 25 kg. Desirable Pivot Steer and PPT licences are a plus.

Qualifications

Food Production Operative with Counterbalance

Location: Corby

Salary: £34,705, rising to £40,830 following 5 month probationary period

Our Corby-based client has a vacancy within their Production Team, with potential for an immediate start.

Main criteria required to be considered for this role are:

• Current counterbalance FLT licence - essential - we would need to see a copy of this prior to interview.
• Current Pivot Steer FLT licence - desirable
• Current PPT licences - desirable
• Food production environment experience - preferrable
• Reasonable standard of IT skills - Microsoft package - emails, in house stock systems - essential
• Able and motivated to lift loads up to 25kgs - essential
• Able and motivated to work our Panama style shift pattern essential
• Excellent communication skills -essential

The role does require lifting / carrying / decanting from 25kg bags / boxes of powdered material.

Manual Handling aids are provided, but it can be classed as a heavy lifting role at times.

Shift pattern and weekly hours

The average weekly hours will be 42 per week working a continental shift system of 12-hour shifts, alternating days and nights on the below pattern:

• Week 1 2 days on - 2 days off - 3 nights on
• Week 2 2 days off - 2 days on - 3 days off
• Week 3 2 nights on - 2 days off - 3 days on
• Week 4 2 days off - 2 nights on - 3 days off
