Job summary

Taskmaster Resources Ltd is recruiting a Despatch Operative with Counterbalance for a site in Nocton LN4. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, move products around the site and support despatch teams.

Shifts are 4 on 4 off with Day and Night patterns; Day shift starts at 6am, Night shift starts at 6pm. Pay rates are £14.61/hr for Day shifts and £16.44/hr for Night shifts. A valid Counterbalance licence and forklift experience are required, with flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent).
• Experience operating Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime during peak production periods.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential; in-house PPT training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance truck safely and efficiently.
• Transport products around a site for storage and distribution to customers.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report faults or damage.
• Follow health and safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Load and unload lorries via despatch bays.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse and dispatch teams to maintain workflow.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices.

OR B Pattern (Week 1: Thurs, Fri, Sat & Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)

Night Shift – A Pattern (Week 1: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed & Week 2: Sun, Mon, Tues)

OR B Pattern (Week 1: Thurs, Fri, Sat & Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)

Hours:

Day Shift - 6am to finish

Night Shift – 6pm to finish

Pay:

Days Shift – £14.61

Night Shift - £16.44

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Counterbalance truck safely and efficiently.
• Transport products around a site for storage and then distribution to customers.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or damage.
• Follow all health and safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Load and unload lorries via despatch bays.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and dispatch teams to maintain workflow.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices.

Skills and experience:

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent) or if recently expired potential opportunity to refresh your licence with an inhouse certification.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime during peak production periods.
• Experience within a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential. For the right candidate we may consider providing in-house PPT training.
