Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative to ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods at our National Distribution Centre. You will maintain a safe, clean, and accurate warehouse environment while delivering high standards of productivity.

Role involves physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 20kg and standing/walking for extended periods. Training provided for operating pallet trucks and forklifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required).
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
