Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre. You will receive, store and dispatch goods, maintain safety and accuracy, and support daily operations.

This fast-paced role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and a willingness to learn; forklift training is provided if required, with opportunities for progression within the Alliance Automotive Group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required).
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
