Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre to receive, store and dispatch goods efficiently while maintaining a safe, tidy working environment.

You will handle goods, operate equipment, perform stock checks and help meet daily targets, with training provided for forklift/pallet trucks and a willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends if required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends if required.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided).
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets.
• Report discrepancies, damages or safety issues promptly.
