Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our National Distribution Centre. You will receive, unload and check goods, pick and pack orders, and dispatch them accurately while using pallets trucks and forklifts with proper safety.

In this fast-paced role you will keep stock records up-to-date, perform cycle counts, and help maintain a clean, compliant warehouse. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required).
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
