Bidfood UK is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for night shifts in Reading. You will work on the ambient area, picking orders, loading vehicles and preparing items for delivery while staying active throughout your shift.

Experience with Reach Fork Lift trucks is essential. A strong team player attitude, reliability, and the ability to work nights are important to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

the country, ensuring the right products are picked, loaded and ready for delivery the next day.

We are looking for experienced Fork Lift Truck Operators only for this role.

Play an important part in our journey

As a Warehouse Operative on our night shift, you'll work across our ambient, environment helping to prepare customer orders ready for delivery.

Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you'll help ensure our drivers leave on time with the right products in the right place, so our customers receive the excellent service they expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll stay active throughout your shift while playing a key part in keeping our operation running smoothly overnight.

What you’ll be doing

• Picking customer orders accurately using Q-Stock hand scanner
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided
• Moving stock using MHE equipment
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running efficiently overnight
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders

What we’re looking for

• A commitment to delivering excellent service
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience on operating Reach Fork Lift truck is essential!
• Warehouse experience is helpful, but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active role involving regular movement and manual handling
• Reliability and flexibility to work evening and night shifts
