Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative for night shifts to pick orders using Qpick, load products, and move stock with pumps, pallets, and forklifts. This role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in multi-temperature environments.

You will help ensure accurate orders and timeliness for drivers departing the warehouse, supporting customers across the foodservice network. The role is based in Greater London with on-site work, offering a supportive team environment and

• Must be able to work night shifts and stay active during shifts.
• Able to work well in a team and maintain accuracy in order picking.

Responsibilities

• Load products and ensure they’re arranged and stored correctly.
• Use handling equipment safely and efficiently (pumps, pallet trucks, forklifts).
• Move around warehouse to ensure timely departure of drivers with correct orders.

Play an important part in our journey

Our night shifts have varying start times between 5:30pm and 12:00am (midnight) and rotas are any 2 in 7 days.

As Warehouse Operative on our nights shifts, you’ll handle a wide range of shelved, chilled and frozen products.

You’ll be:

• Picking orders through Qpick technology – so you’ll be wearing a arm scanner.
• Loading products, and making sure they’re arranged and stored correctly.
• Using our handling equipment (we’ll train you on how to use it safely!).
• Relocating products using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts.

You’ll be moving around a lot, so a good level of physical fitness will help you on your journey with us. It’s also important that you care about your team, our customers and our goods. Most of all, you’ll work hard to make sure our drivers leave the warehouse on time and with the right orders in their trucks, so our customers get the food they need.
