Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative for night shifts at our Langley Road South site. You will work Sun-Thu, 20:30-6:00, assisting with order picking, loading vehicles and maintaining smooth operation across ambient, chilled and frozen zones.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, stay active during the shift, and receive training on hand scanners and FLT equipment. Enjoy benefits including holidays, pension and health cover.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand scanner technology is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay active throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately using hand scanner technology.

Play an important part in our journey

As a Warehouse Operative on our night shift, you'll work across our ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse environments, helping to prepare customer orders ready for delivery.

Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you'll help ensure our drivers leave on time with the right products in the right place, so our customers receive the excellent service they expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll stay active throughout your shift while playing a key part in keeping our operation running smoothly overnight.

What you'll be doing

• Picking customer orders accurately using hand scanner technology
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided
• Moving stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running efficiently overnight
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders

What we're looking for

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Great teamwork and communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• A commitment to delivering excellent service
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using hand scanner technology is beneficial but not essential
• Warehouse or multi-temperature experience is helpful, but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active role involving regular movement and manual handling
• Reliability and flexibility to work evening and night shifts
• Experience using FLT equipment is beneficial.
