Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative (nights) to join our busy distribution centre. You will play a hands-on role across ambient, chilled and frozen areas, picking orders and loading vehicles for next-day delivery.

This night-shift role suits active people with a good eye for detail, teamwork, reliability and the ability to work safely with warehouse equipment. Full training provided, with progression and benefits.

Qualifications

• Night shift warehouse experience is ideal but not essential.
• Ability to use voice-picking headsets and power equipment after training.
• Strong teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Play an important part in our journey

As a Warehouse Operative on our night shift, you'll work across our ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse environments, helping to prepare customer orders ready for delivery.

Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you'll help ensure our drivers leave on time with the right products in the right place, so our customers receive the excellent service they expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll stay active throughout your shift while playing a key part in keeping our operation running smoothly overnight.

What you'll be doing

• Picking customer orders accurately using voice technology headsets
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided
• Moving stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and forklifts
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running efficiently overnight
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders

What we’re looking for

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Great teamwork and communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• A commitment to delivering excellent service
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using voice picking technology is beneficial but not essential
• Warehouse or multi-temperature experience is helpful, but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active role involving regular movement and manual handling
• Reliability and flexibility to work evening and night shifts
