Job summary

Willis Global in Maldon, Essex, is seeking a Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to join a long-established family firm serving agricultural, construction and grounds care markets. You will manage stock, dispatch orders and deliver machinery to customers, while assembling equipment as required and ensuring a professional handover.

The role combines warehouse duties with field deliveries. A valid UK driving licence, prior warehouse experience and ability to work as part of a team are essential,

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Previous warehouse, stores or parts experience required.
• Knowledge of ground care, agricultural or horticultural machinery is advantageous.
• Mechanical or engineering experience advantageous.
• Counterbalance forklift and/or telehandler licence is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock and inventory within the groundcare warehouse.
• Receive, load, unload and process deliveries.
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer, branch and online orders.
• Transfer machinery to the showroom as required.
• Collect and deliver machinery.
• Assemble and prepare machinery per manufacturer guidelines and demonstrate safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and roadworthy company vehicle.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships.

Our client, a long-established family firm with a network of branches in the South and East of England, that supply machinery and services to the agricultural, construction and professional ground care machinery markets are looking for a Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to be based in Maldon, Essex.

On Offer:

• Competitive salary dependant on skills and experience.
• Working Hours: 39 hrs per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm (1-hour unpaid lunch) Saturday as per rota. (Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday)

Main Purpose of the Role:

This varied role combines warehouse operations with the collection and delivery of ground care machinery. You will help manage warehouse stock, prepare and dispatch orders, load and unload ground care & construction deliveries, and deliver machinery to customers. You will also assemble equipment where required and provide customers with a professional handover.
