Job summary

Sysco GB’s Fresh Direct Wigan depot is seeking a Warehouse Operative to pick, pack and inspect ambient, chilled and frozen goods for delivery. You’ll benefit from a full induction and optional training, including forklift and first aid, with clear opportunities to advance within the business.

You should be comfortable in a cool environment, able to lift up to 25 kg, and have transport to reach the depot. Competitive salary, 31 days leave, and a generous benefits package await.

Responsibilities

In the role of a Warehouse Operative at our Fresh Direct Wigan depot you'll pick, pack, and check the quality of ambient, chilled, and frozen food items, ready for our drivers to deliver. It starts with a full induction, but with our backing and optional accredited training that includes forklift, first aid, there's no limit to your potential. And, once you're in, there are plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles and move up - if that’s what you want to do.

As well as an eye for detail, you'll need to be comfortable in a cool environment (we'll provide a free thermal uniform to keep you warm), be able to lift weights of up to 25kg and ideally have your own transport to get here.
