Job summary

Fresh Direct in Wigan is seeking a Warehouse Operative to pick, pack and check ambient, chilled and frozen items for delivery. The role offers a starting salary of £28,990 per year with an attendance bonus and a range of benefits, plus a full induction and potential accredited training including forklift and first aid.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with rotational Sundays, 06:30 to 15:00. A cool environment and own transport are helpful; the company provides a thermal uniform and 31 days annual

Qualifications

• Eye for detail and accuracy in picking/packing
• Able to work in a cool environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 25kg
• Optional forklift training available via accredited courses

In the role of a Warehouse Operative at our Fresh Direct Wigan depot you’ll pick, pack, and check the quality of ambient, chilled, and frozen food items, ready for our drivers to deliver. It starts with a full induction, but with our backing and optional accredited training that includes forklift, first aid, there’s no limit to your potential. And, once you’re in, there are plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles and move up – if that’s what you want to do.

As well as an eye for detail, you’ll need to be comfortable in a cool environment (we’ll provide a free thermal uniform to keep you warm), be able to lift weights of up to 25kg and ideally have your own transport to get here.
