Job summary

DPD UK is seeking high-energy Warehouse Operatives in Stockport to join our team on a fixed-term contract until January 15, 2027, working 40 hours per week with shifts starting after 12pm.

You will load, unload, scan, and sort parcels up to 25kg, using our systems and equipment to ensure accurate delivery. Full training, uniform, and PPE are provided, and the role supports our inclusive, disability-friendly culture.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision
• Handling items up to 25kg safely
• Using warehouse systems to route parcels to the right place
• Operating scanners, conveyors, and handling equipment
• Maintaining health, safety, and housekeeping standards
• Conducting quality checks and reporting discrepancies promptly
• Collaborating with team to meet daily targets

• Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until January 15th 2027 – 40 Hours Per Week

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
