Job summary

DPD UK Hinckley is seeking high-energy Warehouse Operatives to join a fast-paced logistics team. You’ll be on your feet all shift, loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels up to 25kg, while using warehouse tech to keep deliveries on time.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parcels with accuracy.
• Sort and scan items, orienting to correct belts and zones.
• Operate scanners and conveyors safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the shift.
• Report discrepancies or damage to supervision promptly.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Monday - Friday, 12pm start

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
