Job summary

DPD Group in the United Kingdom is seeking energetic Warehouse Operatives to join our fast-paced, physically demanding team. You will be on your feet, loading and unloading parcels, sorting by size and destination, and using scanners to move consignments through the hub.

We offer a fixed-term contract until January 15, 2027, 40 hours per week, and five days per week starting after 12pm, with full training provided, uniform and PPE supplied, and a strong focus on safety and career progression

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.
• Handling items up to 25kg and staying fit while working.

• Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (scanners, conveyors, handling gear).
• Maintaining high health, safety, and housekeeping standards across the warehouse.
• Raising discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor promptly.

Job Description

• Contract Type:Fixed Term Contract until January 15th 2027 – 40 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work:5 days per week starting after 12pm

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling andreporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift

You’ll Receive: Full training from Day 1 and all required uniform and PPE
