Job summary

KBM Resourcing Ltd seeks a reliable Warehouse Operative / Driver in Aberdeen to support our client’s warehouse, machine shop and valve shop. You will handle goods receiving, stock control and local deliveries, with occasional longer trips.

A practical, hands-on approach and basic education are required. The role requires forklift operation, a full UK driving licence and experience with ERP/stock systems, in an engineering/manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse, stores, or workshop environment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Forklift licence.
• Experience using ERP or stock management systems.
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload deliveries.
• Carry out local pick-ups and deliveries; occasional longer trips.
• Receive incoming materials and perform quality/quantity checks.
• Receive and batch goods using inventory systems (e.g., Sage Line 200).
• Purchase warehouse consumables and supplies.
• Pick materials for customer orders.
• Pack goods for shipment by road, air, or sea freight.
• Measure and mark components and machined parts.
• Support machine maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Keep the warehouse tidy and well organised.
• Coordinate recycling material collection and scrap metal disposal.

Job Role

KBM are working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that are seeking a reliable and hands‑on Warehouse Operative to support the efficient operation of its warehouse, machine shop, and valve shop. This role involves a mix of warehouse operations, goods receiving, stock control, and delivery driving, ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, stored, processed, and dispatched. The ideal candidate will have experience in a stores, warehouse, or workshop environment, along with a practical, mechanical mindset and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift to load and unload deliveries.
• Carrying out local pick-ups and deliveries (with occasional travel further afield when required).
• Receiving incoming materials and performing quality and quantity checks.
• Receiving, checking, marking and batching goods using inventory systems (e.g., Sage Line 200 or similar ERP).
• Purchasing warehouse consumables and supplies.
• Picking materials for customer orders.
• Packing goods for shipment via road, air, or sea freight.
• Measuring and marking components and machined parts.
• Supporting machine maintenance and cleaning tasks when required.
• Maintaining a tidy, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Coordinating the collection of recycling materials and scrap metal.

Experience & Skills

Essential:
