Job summary

LV Logistics in Aberdeen is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role involves receiving, storing and handling stock, carrying out FLT checks, following SOPs and maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.

The successful candidate will be proactive, able to work collaboratively, and flexible to take on additional operational duties during peak periods. A forklift licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure FLTs are checked daily and defects reported.
• Follow SOPs and company policy.
• Receive, check and book in deliveries.
• Prepare cargo manifests for inbound/outbound cargo.
• Create commercial invoices in Excel format.
• Manage inbound vehicles per procedures.
• Store, rotate and repack stock safely.
• Maintain high accuracy in picking operations.
• Load distribution vehicles safely and report damages.
• Maintain site housekeeping to high standards.
• Uphold health and safety awareness and report concerns.
• Assist with inventory counting as needed.
• Suggest improvements to operational processes.
• Fulfill other duties to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and safety‑focused team player who can confidently manage daily FLT checks, follow company SOPs, handle inbound vehicles correctly, and ensure products are stored, picked, and loaded with exceptional accuracy and care. They will take pride in maintaining high housekeeping standards, uphold strong Health & Safety awareness, support inventory tasks, and work collaboratively across the warehouse. A proactive approach to problem‑solving, a willingness to assist colleagues, and the flexibility to take on additional operational duties as needed are essential.

Hours

37.5 per week, aligned to standard office hours, with occasional flexibility required to work later - up to 19:00 - during busy periods. Any additional hours worked beyond your contracted 37.5 will be paid as overtime.

Purpose of Role

To efficiently handle, store and rotate stock working within a team environment.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• To ensure FLT’s are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and defects reported.
• Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy.
• Receipt, check, and book in deliveries
• Complete cargo manifestation of inbound/outbound cargo
• Creation of commercial invoices in excel format
• Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
• Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations.
• High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
• Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
• Maintain high standards of site housekeeping
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Supervisor immediately.
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary.
• Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.
• To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business

What We Are Looking For In Our Warehouse Operator

• Positive, enthusiastic, dedicated and able to fit into a busy and productive team.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role
• Forklift licence (essential)
• Previous exposure to inland freight operations and customs processes
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and flexibly across departments
• Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and desk-based work
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal systems
