Job summary

LV Logistics in Aberdeen is seeking a Warehouse Operator on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for efficient stock handling, storage, and rotation within a team, with a 37.5-hour work week and occasional overtime during busy periods.

The role requires forklift operation, daily FLT checks, adherence to SOPs, and accurate invoicing and inventory tasks. Safety, housekeeping, and flexible collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
• Forklift licence (essential).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily FLT checks, record on relevant sheets and report defects.
• Receive, check and book in deliveries; create cargo manifests and invoices in Excel.
• Handle inbound/outbound cargo and ensure proper storage, picking and loading.
• Follow SOPs; maintain high housekeeping standards and safety awareness.
• Assist with inventory counts and cross-departmental support as needed.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor

Hours: 37.5 per week, aligned to standard office hours, with occasional flexibility required to work later - up to 19:00 - during busy periods. Any additional hours worked beyond your contracted 37.5 will be paid as overtime.

Purpose of Role: To efficiently handle, store and rotate stock working within a team environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure FLT’s are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and defects reported.
• Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy.
• Receipt, check, and book in deliveries
• Complete cargo manifestation of inbound/outbound cargoCreation of commercial invoices in excel format
• Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
• Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations.
• High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
• Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
• Maintain high standards of site housekeeping
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Supervisor immediately.
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary.
• Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.
• To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business

Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager

What we are looking for in our Warehouse Operator:

• Positive, enthusiastic, dedicated and able to fit into a busy and productive team.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role
• Forklift licence (essential)
• Previous exposure to inland freight operations and customs processes
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and flexibly across departments
• Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and desk-based work
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal systems
