Job summary

GXO is seeking a Warehouse Operative for the Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD). You will operate forklift trucks and other MHE, load/unload vehicles, and ensure accurate and safe processing of deliveries and collections. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with shift times around 11:00–19:00 and some variation.

Qualifications

• Operate forklift trucks and MHE safely per training and site procedures.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Handle, store and move products (e.g., kegs) correctly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in warehouse and yard.
• Liaise with office staff, drivers and management daily.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid MHE/Forklift licence desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Load and unload trailers, trunking vehicles, and dray vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensure all products, including kegs and other goods, are handled, stored, and moved correctly
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and yard areas
• Liaise effectively with office staff, drivers, and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• A valid MHE/Forklift licence is desirable
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to work

In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse by loading and unloading vehicles, operating MHE equipment, maintaining warehouse standards, and ensuring all deliveries and collections are processed accurately and safely.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday, primarily on the 11:00 to 19:00 shift. However, shift times may vary between 10:00 to 18:00 and 11:00 to 19:00, depending on customer volumes and trunking schedules. A degree of flexibility is required to meet operational needs.
