Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Operative in Avonmouth to support the Amazon operation within a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will handle a range of warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, receiving and picking, while following safety procedures and helping ensure smooth goods flow. The role includes fixed shift patterns (3 on, 3 off or 4 on, 3 off) with hourly pay from £14.11 to £18.16, plus overtime and a pension.

Qualifications

• Must be able to undertake manual handling duties and lift items up to 23 kg.
• Previous warehouse experience and MHE familiarity is desirable but not required.
• Comfort with fast-paced, high-performing operational settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual handling equipment (MHE) such as HLOP, VNA, Reach Truck and Counterbalance where trained.
• Support loading/unloading, receiving and stowing stock, picking, packing and shipping orders.
• Promote safety by following health and safety procedures and encouraging best practices in the warehouse.

This isafull-time, permanent positionwith a range of shift patterns available:

3 on, 3 off (Fixed Shift) – 06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00
4 on, 3 off (Fixed Shift)– 11:00–21:30 or 16:00 - 02:30

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Operate manual handling equipment (MHE), including HLOP, VNA, Reach Truck and Counterbalance, where trained and authorised to do so
• Support a wide range of warehouse activities, including loading/unloading trailers, receiving and stowing stock, picking, packing and shipping customer orders, and generally supporting the flow of goods
• Champion a safety-first culture by following all health and safety procedures and promoting best practice across the warehouse

SomeMHE rolesrequire working at height. Full training and safety equipment are provided, and you'll always have the support you need to work confidently and safely.

You must be comfortable undertaking manual handling duties, including routinely lifting items of up to 23kg in accordance with safe working practices.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow all health & safety procedures
• Confidence working in a fast-paced and high-performing operational setting
• Great teamwork skills and the ability to support colleagues across different warehouse tasks
• Reliability, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced logistics operation
• Previous warehouse and MHE experience (HLOP, VNA, Reach Truck or Counterbalance) is desirable but not required
