Job summary

Vero HR is supporting a global aerospace logistics client in West Horndon seeking a Warehouse Operative. The role focuses on picking, packing and stock handling with strict attention to quantities and part numbers, ensuring accuracy in a busy fulfilment environment.

You will work Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm and every other Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, with overtime during peak periods. The package includes salary from £26,500 to £27,500 after probation, 25 days holiday, private medical insurance, enhanced

• Experience in warehouse or fulfilment role is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling goods.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Computer literate – WMS experience is a plus.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible with overtime when required.
• Must live within commutable distance to West Horndon.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and handle products with accuracy and attention to quantities and part numbers.
• Notify fulfilment manager of stock adjustments after picking is complete.
• Identify and address discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
• Comply with stock control and storage protocols.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, PPE, and safe lifting techniques.
• Support stores activities and fulfilment operations as required.

Responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, and handle products with a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of quantities and part numbers.
• Ensuring that the fulfilment manager/product picking supervisor are aware of any stock adjustments that are required after pick is complete.
• Identify and upscale discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
• Comply with stock control and storage protocols.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including appropriate use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
• Support stores activities and fulfilment operations as required.

Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience in a warehouse or fulfilment role is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling goods.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Computer literate - WMS experience is a plus.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach with willingness to work overtime when required.
• Must live within a commutable distance to the site in West Horndon.

In return we are offering:

• A highly competitive salary starting at £26,500 raising to £27,500 on the successful completion of probation period.
• Working hours - Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm and every other Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm.
