Job summary

GXO Screwfix in Stafford is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to support day-to-day operations, from picking and packing to dispatching orders. The role is full-time and permanent with a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 06:00-14:00, Week 2 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday.

The annual salary is £26,812.50 plus benefits such as employee discounts, holiday entitlement, cycle to work, on-site facilities, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve KPIs and targets.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Assist inbound, outbound and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Pick and pack products accurately for retail delivery orders, handling stock with care and a high level of attention to detail.
• Work efficiently and flexibly to meet operational KPIs and targets, both independently and as part of a wider team.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment by following all Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Procedures and hygiene requirements.

Here at GXO Screwfix, we are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join us at our site in Stafford. From picking and packing to dispatching orders, you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern. Week 1 - 06:00 to 14:00 / Week 2 – 14:00 to 22:00, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
