Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Mossend (ML1 4UY) is hiring a Warehouse Operative for a full-time, permanent role. You'll work 40 hours per week across any 5 days from 7, on three shifts (Days 06:00-14:00, Backshifts 14:00-22:00, Nights 22:00-06:00).

Starting pay is £12.71 per hour with holiday pay, pension, and access to GXO University and a broad benefits platform. You’ll load/unload stock, move goods, pick orders, label and palletise deliveries, and maintain health and safety standards while

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading stock from vehicles and checking for damage.
• Moving stock to correct storage area.
• Picking orders for customers and preparing deliveries.
• Building deliveries into pallets and labelling correctly.
• Loading pallets onto trailers and securing loads.
• Maintaining Health and Safety in the workplace.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Loading and unloading stock from vehicles and checking for any damage
• Moving stock to correct storage area
• Picking orders for the customer (store deliveries not parcel)
• Building the delivery into pallets/cages and ensuring accurate count/labelling
• Then, loading these onto trailer & securing
• Maintaining Health and Safety in the workplace

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Able to work on your own and as part as a team
