Job summary

SIG Insulation & Drylining is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our branch network in the United Kingdom. You will handle deliveries, stock storage, order preparation, and ensure accurate stock records in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires good numeracy, IT basics, and a strong emphasis on health and safety. Experience in warehouse or yard settings is advantageous; a forklift licence is desirable and a great team player attitude is essential.

• Valid Forklift Licence (desirable).
• Good data accuracy and numeracy; basic IT skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Previous warehouse/yard experience is advantageous.
• Flexible, adaptable, with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with deliveries, unloading and loading of vehicles at the branch.
• Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations.
• Prepare customer orders and load onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries and report stock breakages; maintain stock records.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily checks and maintain forklifts and handling equipment safely.
• Promote safety culture and support stocktaking and overtime as required.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team, helping us maintain our high standards of service, accuracy, and safety.

What's the role?

As a Warehouse Operative you will be a key part of the day-to-day operations of the branch. Your role will focus on ensuring the receiving, storage, picking, and loading of stock is completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the branch. You will work within a supportive and safety-focused environment, helping our team provide the best possible service to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with deliveries in unloading and loading of vehicles at the branch
• Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse/yard.
• Prepare customer orders according to sales requirements and load them onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries, report stock breakages, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily checks and maintain forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe working condition.
• Promote a “Everyone Safe, Every Day,” culture by ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues.
• Be flexible and assist with stocktaking and overtime as required.

What you’ll bring:

• A valid Forklift Licence – Desirable
