SIG Insulation & Drylining in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support day-to-day branch operations, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock.

You will work in a safety-focused environment, with opportunities to grow and develop within a large branch network; forklift licence is desirable and you should be team‑minded with good numeracy and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with deliveries by unloading and loading vehicles at the branch.
• Receive and store goods in correct locations within the warehouse/yard.
• Prepare customer orders and load onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries, report stock breakages, and maintain stock records.
• Keep warehouse clean, organised and safe.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and maintain equipment.
• Promote safety culture: 'Everyone Safe, Every Day'.
• Be flexible to support stocktaking and overtime.
• Forklift licence is desirable.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team, helping us maintain our high standards of service, accuracy, and safety. What's the role? As a Warehouse Operative you will be a key part of the day-to-day operations of the branch. Your role will focus on ensuring the receiving, storage, picking, and loading of stock is completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the branch. You will work within a supportive and safety-focused environment, helping our team provide the best possible service to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with deliveries in unloading and loading of vehicles at the branch


• Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse/yard.


• Prepare customer orders according to sales requirements and load them onto vehicles.


• Sign for deliveries, report stock breakages, and maintain accurate stock records.


• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.


• Carry out daily checks and maintain forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe working condition.


• Promote a \"Everyone Safe, Every Day,\" culture by ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues.


• Be flexible and assist with stocktaking and overtime as required.
  A valid Forklift Licence - Desirable
