Job summary

GXO is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the team at the West Hallam site in Ilkeston. The role is full-time and on-site, with duties including picking, packing, scanning, pallet handling and general warehouse upkeep.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 23 kg and adhering to safety standards. Benefits include weekly pay and holiday entitlement, with a flexible pay option via Wagestream.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing items for distribution.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a full time Warehouse Operative in West Hallam Ilkeston, DE7 6HE.

Your pay rate as a full time Warehouse Operative:

You will be paid between £12.71 and £13.66 per hour!

Typical working hours as a full time Warehouse Operative:

• Picking and Packing items ready for distribution
• Using a handheld scanner to sort items
• Boxing items on a line/station and rework area
• Manual Lifting involved (up to 23 KG)
• Unloading & Loading containers
• Wrapping and Unwrapping Pallets
• Adhering to and upholding strict Health and Safety standards
• Ensuring the warehouse is always clean

Requirements

• Candidates must be able to work with alcohol and products containing alcohol.
• For a candidate to be suitable for placement they would have to have their own reliable transport to reach the work location as there is limited public transport/bus links by the job location
• Good level of communication
• Can adhere to and uphold strict Health and Safety standards
• PPE is required, but we can provide this
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must already have and hold a legal status to work in the UK
