Job summary

Holland & Barrett's Burton Distribution Centre is seeking Warehouse Operatives to help keep stock moving, receiving, storing, picking and dispatching products safely and accurately. You will work with a supportive team to ensure the right products reach the right place on time, while maintaining high standards across the operation.

Joining a collaborative team, you will follow written and verbal instructions, develop good organisation and time-management skills, and be reliable.

Qualifications

• No formal degree required; training provided.
• Experience with handheld scanners desirable but not essential.
• Forklift experience desirable where relevant.

Responsibilities

• Pick products accurately against orders using handheld devices.
• Store stock in correct locations.
• Check product codes, quantities, and expiry dates.
• Operate at AutoStore inbound/outbound stations.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse areas.
• Meet productivity, accuracy and service targets.
• Work well as part of a team.

Job description

Ready to play an important part in keeping our products moving? We're looking for a number of Warehouse Operatives to join our busy team at our Burton Distribution Centre. You'll play an important part in keeping our warehouse running smoothly, making sure products are received, stored, picked and dispatched safely and accurately. Working alongside a supportive team, you'll help get the right products to the right place, on time, while maintaining high standards across our operation.

What you'll be doing

• Pick products accurately against customer orders using handheld devices and pick lists.
• Put stock away in the correct warehouse locations.
• Check product codes, quantities, batch numbers and expiry or best-before dates where required.
• Work across AutoStore inbound and outbound stations.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, following your training and our procedures.
• Help us meet productivity, accuracy and service targets.
• Report damaged equipment, stock issues or health and safety concerns.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy, organised and safe.
• Good attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliability and a willingness to take responsibility for your work.
• Experience using a handheld scanner or warehouse management system would be helpful, but isn't essential.
• Forklift experience or certification is desirable where relevant to the role.
