Hi-Line, a UK business based in Burton upon Trent and part of Ingersoll Rand, is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support day-to-day warehouse activities. You will handle goods-in and dispatch, receive deliveries, book stock on SAP, label and palletise items, and ensure accurate stock records with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role is site-based, with responsibilities spanning from receiving to dispatch.

Formación

• Experience in warehouse, goods-in, stock control or dispatch environments.
• Experience with computer-based stock control systems; SAP is advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate stock records and paperwork.
• Ability to safely handle, pack, palletise and move stock within a warehouse.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. You will be involved across the full goods-in and dispatch process, from receiving and checking deliveries and booking stock onto SAP, through to preparing, labelling, palletising and dispatching goods.

This is a hands-on role where accuracy, safety and good organisation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Receive and quality-check incoming deliveries and book goods onto the SAP stock control system.
• Unpack, move and store stock in the correct designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and report missing stock or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Prepare, label and rebrand stock items as required.
• Wrap and palletise goods safely and securely ready for dispatch.
• Support the handling, preparation and dispatch of all stock items.
• Complete delivery notes, paperwork and other warehouse documentation accurately and in line with company procedures

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a warehouse, goods-in, stock control or dispatch environment.
• Experience of using computer-based stock control systems, with SAP experience advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate stock records and paperwork.
• Ability to safely handle, pack, palletise and move stock within a warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Forklift licence would be desirable, though not necessary

Fully site based

• Accuracy & attention to detail: Maintains accurate stock, system records and documentation and identifies discrepancies quickly.
• Reliability & organisation: Works safely and efficiently, prioritising tasks and completing work within required timescales.
• Teamwork & communication: Works effectively with warehouse colleagues, the Warehouse Manager and other departments.
• Safety awareness: Takes a responsible approach to handling, moving, packing and palletising goods.
