Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintenance, breakdowns and commissioning of compressed air equipment, primarily in south-east England, with potential travel and overnight stays.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across compressed air technologies, be field-based from Ashford, and work with customers to deliver high-quality service while adhering to EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical required.
• Proven diagnostic skills on complex electrical/mechanical systems essential.
• Extensive knowledge of compressed air products and systems.
• PC literate with ability to document and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to perform breakdown repairs on compressed air equipment.
• Attend customer sites to perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Coordinate with technical or office teams to understand job requirements.
• Ensure work is performed with customer approval and in line with EHS guidelines.

Job Summary

The opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand Family. We are now looking for an experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineer to join the team. Responsible for Maintenance, Breakdowns & Commissioning on all makes of Compressed air equipment. The role will mainly cover the south-east England however some further travel and overnight stays may be required. The ideal candidate will have experience in all types of compressed air technologies.

Responsibilities

• To attend the customer's site to perform breakdown repairs on all compressed air generating equipment.
• To attend the customer's site to perform preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
• Maintain verbal and written communications with customers and others as seen necessary in a professional manner
• Liaise with the technical or office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements as necessary
• Liaise with customers to ensure that any work is done with their approval
• Operate in accordance with company EHS guidelines

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum HNC level in an Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation or Electromechanical discipline
• Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems
• Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry
• PC literate
• Full driving license

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

• Field based role, operating out of our Ashford Office
• Must be willing to travel extensively in the south-east region with overnight stays as required
• Ability to work alone possessing a balanced judgement
• Willing to travel at short notice
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the compressed air industry
• Ability to communicate well and deal with other
• Must be customer centric
