Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support daily warehouse operations. You will handle goods-in and dispatch, including receiving, SAP booking, unpacking, labelling, palletising and shipping.

This hands-on role requires accuracy, safety and good organisation, with experience in goods-in, stock control or dispatch environments. Forklift knowledge is desirable; SAP experience is advantageous, and a long-standing UK manufacturing heritage supports growth.

Qualifications

• Reliable and well-organised warehouse experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail with accurate stock records.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication with colleagues and managers.
• Safety-conscious approach to loading, packing and palletising goods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Receive and quality-check deliveries and book goods onto the SAP stock control system.
• Unpack, move and store stock in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and report missing stock or discrepancies.
• Prepare, label and rebrand stock items as required.
• Wrap and palletise goods safely and securely for dispatch.
• Support the handling, preparation and dispatch of all stock items.
• Complete delivery notes and warehouse documentation accurately.
• Work with the Warehouse Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. You will be involved across the full goods-in and dispatch process, from receiving and checking deliveries and booking stock onto SAP, through to preparing, labelling, palletising and dispatching goods.,

• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.


• Receive and quality-check incoming deliveries and book goods onto the SAP stock control system.


• Unpack, move and store stock in the correct designated warehouse locations.


• Maintain accurate stock records and report missing stock or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.


• Prepare, label and rebrand stock items as required.


• Wrap and palletise goods safely and securely ready for dispatch.


• Support the handling, preparation and dispatch of all stock items.


• Complete delivery notes, paperwork and other warehouse documentation accurately and in line with company procedures, Accuracy & attention to detail: Maintains accurate stock, system records and documentation and identifies discrepancies quickly.


• Reliability & organisation: Works safely and efficiently, prioritising tasks and completing work within required timescales.


• Teamwork & communication: Works effectively with warehouse colleagues, the Warehouse Manager and other departments.


• Safety awareness: Takes a responsible approach to handling, moving, packing and palletising goods.

• Experience of using computer‑based stock control systems, with SAP experience advantageous.


• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate stock records and paperwork.


• Ability to safely handle, pack, palletise and move stock within a warehouse environment.


• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
