The Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a critical role in leading all activities within their field, working closely with the Production Manager and Sales team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity with significant autonomy for an experienced logistics & supply chain professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organization.
Core responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager include:

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management - Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.
  • Optimise Logistics Operations - Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
  • Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve forecasting to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Customer Order Fulfilment - Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain background - Essential.
  • 5+ years of proven Logistics & Supply Chain supervisory or management experience across operations - Essential.
  • 3PL Warehouse experience - Advantageous.
  • Previous budgetary / P&L responsibility for small to medium-sized operations exceeding +£2m - Advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
  • Motivated by large-scale growth challenges - Essential.
  • Ability to commute to Rugby five days a week - Essential.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 to £50,000.
