Job summary

Allstaff is seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager in Renfrew. You will support daily warehouse operations, supervise staff, and drive safety, accuracy and efficiency across goods-in, storage, picking and despatch.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of goods-in, stock control and despatch processes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop warehouse teams.
• Experience using KPIs and achieving targets.
• Good health and safety understanding.
• Proficient with WMS and MS Office (Excel/Outlook).
• Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments is desirable.
• ILM Level 3 leadership qualification is desirable.
• Counterbalance/Reach Truck licence or willingness to train is desirable.
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S or continuous improvement techniques is desirable.
• Experience preparing warehouse reports and KPI analysis is desirable.
• IOSH Working Safely or Managing Safely qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily management of warehouse operations including goods-in, storage, picking, packing and despatch.
• Supervise, motivate and develop warehouse staff, ensuring workloads and priorities are managed.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and warehouse security.
• Monitor stock accuracy, coordinate cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure customer orders and internal stock requirements are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs, productivity and service levels to identify improvements.
• Oversee use of WMS and warehouse equipment.
• Support staff training, performance management, attendance and development.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues and maintain service standards.
• Depose for the Warehouse Manager and provide leadership when required.
