Job summary

Reynolds Catering Supplies in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Section Head to lead a team of 8–16 colleagues in a fast-paced FMCG operation. You will own performance within your section, drive productivity, and balance people management with operational delivery in a hands-on leadership role.

You’ll monitor KPIs such as productivity and accuracy, plan resources, and drive continuous improvement while managing labour costs and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.

• Monitor performance and apply corrective actions when needed.
• Plan and allocate resources to meet daily demands.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency and customer service.
• Manage labour costs including overtime, agency usage and absence control.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene and Environmental standards.
• Deliver clear communication and regular team briefings.
• Coach and develop your team to support engagement and progression.
• Act as deputy for the Senior Operations Manager when required.

Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 per annum

Hours: 9am - 6pm, 5 over 7 shift pattern (including weekends)

With over 3,000 products and a heritage dating back to 1945, we’re continuing to grow — and we’re looking for a Section Head to help lead that journey at our Waltham Cross distribution centre.

The Role

As a Section Head, you will lead and develop a team of 8–16 colleagues, ensuring your area consistently delivers safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations.

You’ll take full ownership of performance within your section — driving productivity, maintaining high standards, and ensuring customer orders are completed to schedule.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll balance people management, operational delivery, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, motivating and developing a team of warehouse colleagues to achieve operational targets.
• Taking ownership of departmental KPIs including productivity, accuracy, attendance and service levels.
• Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions where required.

• A hands‑on, proactive leadership style.
