Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a motivated Warehouse Team Manager to lead the site operation, driving performance, safety and service standards. This hands-on role oversees a team of operatives and MHE drivers, ensuring safe and efficient warehouse activity.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and the ability to manage goods in, putaway and dispatch while upholding Bidfood’s health and safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of 20+ in a warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to optimise and drive daily targets.
• Reach Truck and PPT experience required with RTITB training preferred.
• Strong IT skills and experience with warehousing software.
• Experience in FMCG, logistics or food distribution advantageous.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate warehouse operatives and MHE drivers to achieve targets.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and pallet safety.
• Monitor productivity, workflow and service levels across the shift.
• Support goods in, replenishment and putaway processes.
• Conduct team briefs, recruitment, investigations and performance conversations.

Warehouse Team Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Team Manager to join our warehouse operation and help drive performance, safety and service standards across the site.

This is a fast‑paced role where you will lead by example, support operational teams and ensure the warehouse runs safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Shift Pattern

Any 5 days out of 7, to include weekends. 45 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate warehouse operatives and MHE drivers to achieve operational targets
• Ensure high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and pallet safety are maintained at all times
• Monitor productivity, workflow and service levels across the shift
• Support goods in, replenishment and putaway.
• Carry out team briefs, recruitment, investigations, return to works, and performance conversations
• Drive a strong “one team” culture aligned to Bidfood values: Care, Share, and Dare
• Coach and develop colleagues to improve performance and capability
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety standards and operational controls
• Work closely with other departments to maintain smooth warehouse flow and customer satisfaction
• No matter what you’re doing, you’ll always be promoting and managing all safety

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience leading a team of 20 +
• Proven history of optimising and leading a team towards daily targets.
• Reach Truck and PPT experience.
• RTITB Trained (preferred)
• Highly Organised
• Great HR Skills
• Strong IT Skills
• Experience within FMCG, logistics, or food distribution preferred
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment
• Good understanding of warehouse health & safety standards
• Experience using warehouse management systems is advantageous
• Flexible approach to shifts and operational needs
• Positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider operation
