ALPLA Group in Mansfield is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, drive stock accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The role covers people management, safety, and compliance within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Responsibilities include FIFO implementation, staff training, resource planning, and collaboration with planning and finance for month-end activities.

• Ensuring accurate stock management and control across the business.
• Maintaining system accuracy to achieve high inventory accuracy and purity.
• Developing systems to ensure FIFO and reduce aged stock.
• Managing all human resources related activities.
• Taking responsibility for forklift truck management.
• Training of all staff.
• Coordinating with internal planning for accurate product flow.
• Ensuring Health and Safety in warehouse operations with the Safety Manager.
• Ensuring compliance with industry and legal standards.
• Managing resources to cover day-to-day needs.
• Establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement programme.
• Month end management and providing timely accruals for Finance.
• Attending regular meetings with key stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities (Not Limited To)

• Ensuring accurate stock management and control across the business
• System accuracy to always ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and purity across warehouse function and outside storage
• Develops systems to ensure FIFO and aged stock reduction
• Management of all human resources related activities
• Takes responsibility for Forklift truck management
• Responsible for the training of all staff
• Work closely with internal planning to ensure accurate flow of product in and out of the business at all times.
• Take responsibility for warehouse Health and Safety working closely with the Health and Safety Manager
• Ensure compliance, industry and legal standards is adhered to across the business unit
• Manage available resource, ensuring day-to-day operational needs are covered.
• Establish and maintain a continuous improvement programme within the warehouse operation
• Month end management, and providing timely accruals for Finance
• Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders

Experience Required

• Proven people management skills, ideally within an FMCG environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills through a solid understanding of Lean techniques and principles (Kaizen,5's, Six Sigma) – Manufacturing Excellence
• Able to meet tight deadlines, ensuring quality is not compromised.
• Able to demonstrate strong, trusting relationship building, and stakeholder management & collaboration both internally and externally
• Working knowledge of PC packages, essentially MS Office suits and bespoke MIS.
• Food Safety Awareness in Manufacturing – desirable, relevant food manufacturing experience,
• Health and Safety awareness ideally NEBOSH/IOSH trained
• Very good time management skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfil critical tasks in time and keep to deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
