Job summary

ALPLA in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced warehouse operative to support production and warehousing operations. The role focuses on wrapping finished goods to specification, storing them in identified lanes, checking documentation, and reporting discrepancies to supervision.

Candidates should hold a valid FLT Counterbalance license and have experience in a busy warehouse environment, with good communication skills and a strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid FLT Counterbalance license and experience in a busy warehousing environment.
• Experience operating the required machinery in a warehouse setting.
• Personable with excellent communication skills and the ability to follow health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure finished goods are wrapped to customer specifications and reported if defects are found.
• Store finished goods in correctly identified lanes and ensure correct documentation is used.
• Check and load finished goods to the specified documentation.
• Inspect incoming consignments against paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Maintain daily forklift and compactor maintenance and keep the area clean and orderly.
• Carry out monthly and twice-weekly stock takes for packaging and finished goods.
• Adhere to health and safety practices in a busy manufacturing environment.

Job description

To ensure that finished goods are transported from Production Department and stored in the Warehouse to the customers specification.

• To ensure that all finished goods entering the Warehouse are wrapped to the customers' specification. To report any defects to Supervision.
• To ensure that -finished goods are stored in the correctly identified lanes.
• To ensure that finished goods are checked and loaded to the correct specified documentation.
• To ensure that all incoming consignments are checked against documentation. To report any discrepancies to Supervision.
• To ensure that daily maintenance of fork lift trucks and the compactor is carried out.
• To ensure that housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
• To ensure that an accurate, twice weekly, packaging stock take is carried out.
• To ensure that the monthly finished goods stock take is carried out to optimum accuracy.
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with health and safety practice.
  Experience within busy warehouse environment and experience of operating the required machinery
• Must have valid FLT Counterbalance license + Experience within warehousing environment
• Personable and excellent communication skills
• Able to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines within a busy manufacturing environment
